On the 27th of December 2023, a team of Fifteen Officials from the Higher Education Department, Bikash Bhawan West Bengal, visited our college. The team was led by Sri. Rafikul Islam Mondal, Chairman, Standing Committee, Higher Education. In their course of their visit they interacted with the teaching, non-teaching staff and the students and the representatives of the management. Our college being a part of Techno India Group offers the best ambience and the visiting officials were highly satisfied with the infrastructure of the college and also the hospitality and the felicitation that we provided to them.

Durgapur B.Ed. College observed the day of “Remembrance of the Partition of Bengal” with an audio visual presentation and participation from the teachers and students. The key note address regarding the pangs of partition was delivered by our Principal Sir. Then through a video entitled "Partition 1947, How United Bengal almost became a new Country" was shown to the students. Alongside the video presentation, one of our Faculty Members also discussed at length the history of the time, thus enriching the students, the hardships faced by mankind in the partition of Bengal. One of our students also gave her views on the theme of Partition of Bengal and it's ill effects. The programme concluded with the National Anthem sung by the students and faculty members.
An educational tour places the students in different socio-cultural environments where they encounter new people and witness regional practices. Like every year this year also we took our students to Mukutmanipur, Bankura on 8th January 2025 to acquaint themselves with the local environment.
Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav is celebrated each year on the 11th of December to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahakavi Subramania Bharati. With the aim to foster a deep appreciation and pride in the rich diversity of Indian Languages & Literature this day is celebrated to honour the timeless bond among India’s linguistic traditions. The theme of this year’s Bhasha Utsav was “Bhashae Anek, Bhao Ek’ (Many Languages One Emotion).
The Higher Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal has come up with an excellent initiative of observing Students’ Week in educational institutions as students are at the core of every educational institution. Following this, like every year we at Durgapur B.Ed. College observed Students’ Week through various programmes.
Environmental awareness is discussed and studied by many. However, to make an impact, we must be aware of the problems and solutions. Keeping this in mind, Durgapur B.Ed. College in association with West Bengal Forest Department, Fuljhore Forest Office had organized a Plant Sapling Distribution Programme at Bhagat Singh Bus Stand on 31st July 2024.
Being a student of Durgapur B.Ed. College in the session 2021-2023, my experience was great. The academic environment at college is outstanding. Professors are not only expert in their fields but also approachable and dedicated to student success. Overall the campus fosters creativity and mental development of the students.
Durgapur B.Ed. College is one of the renowned institutions currently present in Paschim Bardhaman. The Institution encompasses a green and clean campus. Highly Professional and Knowledgeable Professors constantly guide and train each student individually for Teaching.
Durgapur B.Ed. College has helped me to brush up on my teaching skills. The college strives to prune students with holistic development. The mentors of the college are praiseworthy. I am privileged to be a student of Durgapur B.Ed. College.
Durgapur B.Ed. had everything one could ask for but what set it apart was the moral fabric that so beautifully infused in me the values of humility, dedication, commitment and gratitude. Faculty par excellence, brilliant infrastructure, splendid ambiance, lectures with interesting insights.
I pursued B.Ed. degree from Durgapur B.Ed. College (Session 2018-2020). The college offers B.Ed. course with variety of method subjects. The faculties are very supportive and cooperative in nature. Along with that the college has a nice infrastructure and a good stock of library books.
